This is an engine issue, not a material issue. To fix this simply open up the master material and change it to a masked material and then back to transparent. After hitting Apply and saving it will appear as intended.

Attack Indicator Pro allows you to easily add complex enemy/actor screen indicators with as little as one step. This can be accomplished by simply adding the included actor component.

Attack Indicator Pro features 3 indicator modes, including Third Person, First Person and Top Down, 9 style presets, and many advanced setting options that allow for extensive customization to fit all the needs of your game, including the ability to use custom material instances as the indicator image.
