This extensive and detailed environment is one of a kind. With this environment, we used the power of the new Unreal 5 Engine to bring you an environment that can be used both for games and cinematics. Featuring highly detailed individual assets, modular structural assets, fully set up lighting and environment systems, Multiple Vehicles, A massive demo scene, Advanced Fake Interior Shaders and much more!

Intended Use

This environment has been created primarily with games in mind. it features optimized nanite & LOD assets, 4K textures downscaled to a sensible resolution, and optimized lighting assets. However, due to the quality of the assets, this environment can also be used for cinematic purposes. The environment is intended for higher-end systems & consoles.

 

Structure

The environment Structure is quite unique. In the main level all the buildings and Roads are large static meshes. This is necessary for performance as it is impossible to render hundreds of thousands of assets on a single level. However, all the original roads and buildings were modular and we made sure to include all modular assets in case you want to re-build sections or build new sections.

Foliage is placed using the foliage tool and all other assets are manually placed in their correct streaming level.

 

Assets

Assets have also been made modular where needed. Next to this most of them feature unique textures. (optimized of course). Some assets feature additional material options where you can change the color of the assets based on a mask, have world space textures or special variation masks.

 

Textures

All textures come in PBR 4k resolution and are downscaled in UE to have logical texture resolution and performance. Some of the tillable materials even come in 8k if you so desire.

 

Lighting

We make full use of Lumen in this scene. All assets have been optimized to work with Lumen and follow the lumen technical validation documentation – our assets do not come with traditional lightmap UV’s but you can always auto-generate those if needed.

All lights have been set up using blueprints with simple on & off + color controls.

The demo scene comes with both a Day time and Sunset lighting preset.

 

Disclaimers

  • All images & videos have been rendered at an average of 40-60fps on cinematic quality using an RTX 3090.
  • This project is performance heavy due to it’s size and default settings, please read the documentation to see how to run a more optimized version.
  • This project has a large file size of around 27gb.
