Grid Inventory System

Description

The Grid Inventory System is a plugin designed to provide a flexible and performant inventory system for games of any type. This system is written in C++, and is optimized for speed and efficiency. It is however, fully usable within Blueprints, making it accessible to developers of all skill levels.

Technical Details

Features:

Example Project: Demonstrates the system in action with fully commented Blueprints.
Widgets: Game-ready, and customizable. These allow you to quickly get the system up and running or build-out custom widgets for your project.
Extendable: All code is fully commented and the plugin was written with the intent to allow for easy extension of the base classes that are included.
Save System: A save system is included which allows you to save inventories within a level. All data is serialized to optimized save file size.
Grids: Inventories are broken down into Grids which are responsible for storing items.
Containers: Containers are responsible for holding Grids and make it easy for you to create inventories for different objects within your world. Whether it be players, NPCs, or loot boxes, they are always set up the same way an easy to implement.
Data Driven: Almost every aspect of Inventories are controlled by data assets. This allows you to quickly design containers and implement them across multiple assets with ease.
Loot Generation: Built in methods of generating loot with weighted tables. Great for RPGs and survival games!
