It’s highly recommended to have at least the basic knowledge of blueprints to use this asset. This is not a plug-and-play system. Otherwise, it might be confusing to work with it.
Ultimate Character Customization is a modular solution for character customization. You can create any type of character whether it’s a modular or single mesh. You can add multiple options for the player to select and add different options such as Morph Targets or Material Parameters like Texture, Scalar, or Color. All of the widgets will be procedurally generated based on the data table you created.
This system is using Global Unique Identifiers for each of the options you create and saves the selected option based on the IDs. There is a slot-based Save & Load system which you can add, remove, or rename at runtime.
Multiple genders can be used or can be expanded for different classes of characters if necessary. Each one of the setups that you created will have its unique data.
You can also transform/modify bones with the control rig that this asset provides like in the video/screenshots. However, extra meshes need to be perfectly weight-painted in order to work seamlessly.
